In the role of Governance Support Officer, you’ll predominantly be based at our Waterfront site and your focus will be on providing high quality governance and operational support to the Corporation, Director of Governance & Compliance and wider leadership team.

 

This is a varied role, so please refer to the Job Description for a detailed outline of the key responsibilities.  In summary these include: -

 

  • Organising Corporation and committee meetings, collating and circulating papers, taking formal minutes, monitoring following up actions, liaising with governors and senior management and maintaining the governance cycle of business.  
  • Overseeing a range of governance and administrative functions to support the governors in their role and ensure that all statutory requirements are met.
  • Receiving, recording and collating responses to data protection, subject access and freedom of information enquiries.
  • Working flexibly in support of the Executive Leader Team administration function.

 

Ideally, you’ll have a relevant governance and/or business administration qualification (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and have  demonstrable experience in a busy and complex organisation.   You will be expected to manage your workload effectively, work without supervision, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.  You are reliable, responsive, flexible individual, with the ability to maintain a high standard of professionalism in all interactions and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
