In the role of Plumbing Lecturer, you’ll predominantly be based at Brunel and your focus will be to make a significant contribution to the effective delivery of the curriculum, in line with the College’s Quality Improvement Strategy and to ensure a high quality and relevant learning experience for all students on the course/s.

 

Your key responsibilities will be to plan and deliver lessons, based in classrooms and within a workshop environment to students on study programmes and apprenticeship frameworks/standards.   You will assess students in accordance with the requirements of the programme, and will be responsible for developing programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of learners, employers and in line with Awarding Body and Quality Assurance requirements.

 

Ideally, you’ll have Level 3 (NVQ or equivalent) or above in subject specific area (or be able to prove equivalent ability) ACS gas qualification or willingness to undertake within agreed timescale, minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C), and a level 5 Teaching Qualification or willingness to undertake within an agreed timescale. and demonstrable experience in Plumbing.  It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively, engage with young people   and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
