In the role of Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer in Hospitality you’ll predominantly be based at Waterfront- Huddersfield site and your focus will be on teaching.
Your main duties are to help deliver the curriculum effectively according to the College’s Quality Improvement Plan and to provide all students with high-quality, relevant learning experiences.
Ideally, candidates will possess a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (such as GCSE English and Maths at grades A*-C), a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, and a Level 3 qualification in professional cookery or demonstrable equivalent experience and ability. A teaching qualification at Level 5 or above, or a commitment to begin working towards this immediately (or evidence of equivalent capability), is also required, along with proven experience in hospitality skills. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages and abilities, including those with high needs. The successful candidate will be expected to exemplify our college values of Kindness, Unity, and Excellence in their role.
