Brunel Construction Centre (with travel to other KC sites if required)

 

Hours and Weeks per Year:

37 hours /52 weeks

In the role of Technician- Wet Trades you’ll predominantly be based at Brunel House Construction Centre and your focus will be on supporting the delivery of high-quality plastering / Brickwork training by maintaining safe, organised workshop spaces; preparing materials; and assisting demonstrating practical techniques to learners under the direction of curriculum staff.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing plastering / brickwork materials, work areas and resources for lessons, assessments and EPA
  • Maintaining stock, organising tools/equipment and ensuring safe, clean working conditions
  • Supporting students during practical sessions and carrying out demonstrations as required
  • Ensuring machinery, tools and workspaces are checked, cleaned and maintained to high standards

 

Ideally, you’ll have a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) and solid experience working within the construction industry. It’s important that you’re able to communicate clearly, support learners effectively and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
