An exciting opportunity has arisen for the SEND Department within the Student Support, Development and inclusion Directorate at Kirklees College. We are looking for a SEND Care Support officer to join our growing and progressing team.

 

The successful applicant will provide high quality personal cares and administer medications across the college, working with the SENDCO to ensure appropriate processes are fully embedded and documentation is completed correctly.  You will need to be confident to talk to external agencies: schools, OH, Physios etc to gather essential information.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with young people with SEND and care needs in an educational capacity, also to have knowledge of EHCP’s.

 

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A level 3 qualification in a related area or equivalent ability and demonstrable experience in providing personal care and administering medication.
  • The ability to work within a team, communicate effectively, and enjoy working with young people with SEND needs.
  • The capability to demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity, and Excellence in your role.
