We’re already a successful college, but we’re continually striving to be better and do better - be part of our story!
In the role of Deputy Head of Inclusive Learning, you will work across all our sites to provide strategic leadership that ensures high-quality, inclusive SEND provision for learners. You will play a key role in ensuring learners with SEND thrive, removing barriers and improving outcomes across the College.
You will lead and oversee the development and quality of statutory SEND processes, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and related guidance. Working in partnership with curriculum, central support teams and external partners, you will help develop and review inclusive practices, support effective use of reasonable adjustments, and drive continuous improvement so that provision meets learners’ needs.
You will bring strong leadership experience, a recognised teaching qualification, and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or equivalent). You will also have English and maths GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), along with experience of managing statutory processes and delivering measurable service improvements.
You will be confident managing competing priorities, using data to evaluate impact, and championing new initiatives in line with our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
Due to the nature of our work, it’s essential you’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
We believe learning is not just for our students: it’s an important part of working here too. Staff development opportunities include a mentoring scheme, financial contributions for external qualifications and skills development for current and aspiring managers. You’ll also have access to a range of staff benefits including an employee assistance programme, retail and leisure discounts and reduced Metro travel.
We want people who believe in the value of education, and who can contribute to our culture of supporting and challenging one another.
