In the role of Lecturer, you’ll predominantly be based at PMC/Engineering Centres and your focus will be on;

To work with a timetabled contact/delivery of apprentices from induction up through to gateway development of the required knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) held within the Engineering Apprenticeship Standards. (Level 3 Metal Fabricator Standard)

 

Your key responsibilities will be;

 

• Deliver high quality TLA both within workshops and classrooms.  

• Assess KSBs within college to the apprenticeship standard.

• Track/assess delivered apprentice progress via E-Portfolio systems.

• Work effectively as part of a team to meet stakeholder expectations.

• Set individualised Smart targets for your timetabled apprentices.

• Liaising effectively with your team and working closely with work placed Trainer Assessors.

• Delivery of specific units within mandated qualifications.

 

Ideally, you’ll have your Assessor qualifications and teaching qualification or a wiliness to work towards them. Have relevant Fabrication & Welding vocational knowledge to teach & assess within the college delivery environment. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively, engage with young people and stakeholders whilst demonstrating our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
