In the role of Apprentice Science Technician you will predominantly be based at Waterfront, Huddersfield and your focus will be required to support the senior science technicians within the science department to support the delivery of practical science. You will report to the Head of Science.
Under supervision and direction the successful candidate will: Support the senior science technicians with their daily duties. Which will include organising apparatus and resources prior to lessons, including the construction, preparation and checking of any specialist equipment. You will also be required to oversee the storage and replacement of resources required for the delivery of science and assist teaching staff as required in the demonstration of practical work.
It is important that you are able to communicate effectively, engage with young people and have an excellent understanding of equality and diversity you must be able to demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
