At Kirklees College we are always looking for new talent, and welcome applications from all sectors.

Whether in a teaching & learning role or in one of our specialised Business Support functions, you’ll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of construction workers, engineers, health workers and countless others.

We’re already a successful college, but we’re continually striving to be better and do better - be part of our story!

Are you passionate about making a real difference to young people and adults with SEND? As an Inclusive Learning Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring learners receive high-quality, personalised support that enables them to achieve, progress and thrive.

Based within one of our curriculum directorates, you will work closely with the Inclusive Learning Manager and curriculum teams to coordinate day-to-day support, guide staff and help create an inclusive learning experience for every student.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will ensure students’ needs are assessed, monitor the quality and impact of Inclusion Plans, and work collaboratively with curriculum colleagues to track attendance, progress and support for High Needs and SEND learners. Your work will help students stay engaged, achieve their goals and move confidently towards aspirational next steps.

We are looking for someone with strong SEND knowledge, experience of EHCP processes and the confidence to lead and support others. Ideally, you will hold a qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, alongside Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent. Line management experience is essential, as is the ability to use data effectively, maintain high-quality documentation and track learner progress. Most importantly, you will bring our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence to life in the way you lead, communicate and support others.

Because safeguarding is central to everything we do, you must be committed to promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

At Kirklees College, learning is not just for our students. We invest in our staff too, with development opportunities including mentoring, financial contributions towards external qualifications, and skills development for current and aspiring managers. You will also benefit from our employee assistance programme, retail and leisure discounts and reduced Metro travel.

If you believe in the power of education, inclusion and high expectations, we would love to hear from you. Join us and be part of a team that supports, challenges and inspires one another to make a lasting difference.
